Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Robot Team represented by Robot Depth-4 of the Electronic Polytechnic School of the Surabaya-based "Sepuluh Nopember" Institute of Technology (ITS), lost at the Robot Contest (Robocon) 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.ANTARA reported from Kuala Lumpur, Sunday, that ITS`s Robot Depth-4 was defeated by Thailand`s robot team 13-18.Meanwhile, the Japanese robot team represented by Robot RUR of the Agriculture and technology University was defeated by Vietnemese robot team 3-12.Robocon 2006 was held in Kuala Lumpur from Sept 9 to 10, 2006, with 19 robot teams from 18 participating countries.Until Sunday afternoon, four robot teams are still competing , namely those Thailand, China, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The ITS team is the champion of the National Robot Contest which was held in May 2006.In 2001, the ITS robot team also won in the robot competition in Korayama, Japan.

Surabaya, East Java (ANTARA News) - The Sepuluh November Technology Institute (ITS) of Surabaya will soon send a team to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to take part in the Robocon (World Robot Contest) 2006).
"The ITS team left Surabaya for Jakarta on Tuesday (Sep 5) and will later proceed to Kuala Lumpur," a spokesman of ITS Sukemi said here on Wednesday.
The Robocon 2006 will take place from September 9 to 10, 2006. Tens of robot teams from at least 17 countries will compete in the contest.
The ITS team is the champion of the National Robot Contest which was held last May 2006.
In 2001, the ITS robot team also won in a robot competition which was held in Korayama, Japan.(*)
